Діяльність Почесного Консульства Латвійської республіки у м. Вінниця у 2021-2024 рр.

Abstract

У статті висвітлено діяльність Почесного консульства Латвійської республіки у м. Вінниця упродовж 2021-2024 рр. Зокрема, окреслено початок заснування консульства у Вінниці та призначення Почесного консула. Відзначено особливу роль Почесного консульства в умовах повномасштабного російського вторгнення, що полягала в забезпеченні ЗСУ, сил ТРО паливом, автомобілями різного призначення, передачі значної кількості гуманітарної допомоги за власний кошт. Визначено обсяг гуманітарної допомоги Україні за рахунок співпраці Почесного консула із представниками Посольства Латвійської Республіки в Україні та представниками благодійних фондів. Окреслено діяльність Почесного консульства у сфері культури, освіти та спорту. Вказано на започаткування співпраці Почесного консульства із факультетом історії і міжнародних відносин Вінницького державного педагогічного університету імені Михайла Коцюбинського. Повідомлено про нагородження Почесного консула Латвійської Республіки у м. Вінниці та Вінницькій області Ігоря Скоромного «Хрестом Визнання» за особливі заслуги на благо латвійської держави.

The article highlights the activities of the Honorary Consulate of the Republic of Latvia in Vinnytsia during the period from 2021 to 2024. In particular, it outlines the founding of the consulate in Vinnytsia and the appointment of the Honorary Consul. The special role of the Honorary Consulate during the full-scale Russian invasion is noted, particularly its efforts to support the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Territorial Defense Forces with fuel, vehicles of various types, and the delivery of significant humanitarian aid at its own expense. The volume of humanitarian aid provided to Ukraine through cooperation between the Honorary Consul, the Embassy of the Republic of Latvia in Ukraine, and charitable organizations is also highlighted. The article also discusses the consulate's activities in the fields of culture, education, and sports. It mentions the initiation of cooperation between the Honorary Consulate and the Department of History and International Relations at Vinnytsia Mykhailo Kotsiubynskyi State Pedagogical University. Additionally, it reports on the awarding of the "Cross of Recognition" to Igor Skoromny, the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Vinnytsia and the Vinnytsia region, for his exceptional contributions to the benefit of the Latvian state.
