On the basis of generalization of recommendations highlighted in the psychological and pedagogical literature on the lecture as a form of students’ training organization and personal experience, various methods of the students’ attention activization are considered, examples of their appication at the lectures on Pedagogy are presented. The article reflects contemplations of students resulting from the use of the method of unfinished sentences. Attention is paid to improvement of both the content and form of the lecture. The paper gives concrete advice to lecturers on the lecture as an organizational form of study at a higher educational institution
