The paper analyzes the issues that arise when psychological assistance is provided to veterans of ATO/JFO (Joint Forces Operation) and their families. The first problem was that psychologists were not fully prepared for the challenges relevant to modern Ukrainian society. An additional point is that among the problems of psychological work with veterans of ATO/JFO and their families are highlighted such as: the lack of a culture of referral to psychologists in the public consciousness, the predominance of a psychiatric model in dealing with mental (and even psychological) problems of an individual, which not only causes the stigmatization of a client, but also causes dependence on pharmaceutical treatment; the lack of special training of psychologists to work with trauma, that is, insufficient level of professional training of psychologists, insufficient organization ( especially organization of work with wives and children), payment and coordination of psychologists ' activities. The possibilities of alternative non-budgetary source of financing for training and organizing the activities of psychologists have been analyzed. The classification of donors has been described and systematized. The sample program "Psychosocial rehabilitation and adaptation of demobilized military servicemen, their family members and family members of
the fallen participants of the anti-terrorist operation" submitted.
