Emphasis is placed on the defined psychological and pedagogical approach in substantiating the concepts of "competence" and "competence", as well as on the formation of foreign language competencies of the graduate student. It is determined that the main professional competencies include general cultural, general professional and professional competencies of foreign language competence according to the state standard.
