2023	Літературна репрезентація образу дитини і дитинства в сучасній англійській літературі	The image of a child and childhood holds a special place in English literary tradition. The portrayal of childhood emerges as a generalized concept encompassing the typology of child characters, the world of the child, the child's environment, and the psychological aspects of the child's image. Starting from the 18th century, the depiction of childhood in literature began to intensively evolve, as evidenced by the emergence of numerous child characters in the works of English writers. Among Victorian writers, the child becomes a central figure in the novel, and the portrayal of childhood gains particular significance. Social characteristics are included in the interpretation of the image of childhood, and the depiction of a happy child becomes increasingly rare in the pages of novels. In the 20th century, a new perception of the childhood image takes shape. In the first half of the century, themes of upbringing, coming-of-age, and personality formation, initially introduced by Victorian writers, find reflection in the novels of modernist writers but with more tragic undertones. Children are often depicted as unstable, rebellious individuals, sufferers, victims of disciplinary violence. In the second half of the 20th century, a new image of the child emerges in the pages of novels. 2023	Жанрові особливості романів Дж.Оруелла «1984» і О.Хаксі «Цей чудовий новий світ»	The paper explores the importance of the dystopian novels «1984» by George Orwell and «Brave New World» by Aldous Huxley. The article highlights different views of scholars on the genre nature of the work and its artistic specificity. The plotting, composition, and figurative palette are interconnected with the genre originality of the text. The paper also examines how these works influenced the development of the dystopian genre and how they represent contemporary social, political, and technological issues. The first chapter discusses the main theoretical issues regarding the concept and main features of the dystopian genre of literature. The second chapter is devoted to the biography of George Orwell and the genre features of his novel 1984. The author's use of the dramatic genre and dystopia to create an atmosphere of hopelessness and threat is analyzed. The specifics of the novel's linguistic style and narrative structure are considered. The third section characterizes the work and life of Aldous Huxley. The author uses science fiction and dystopian techniques to create an ideal social image that is completely untrue. 2023	Тема «втраченого покоління» в романі Е. Хемінгуейя «Фієста» та Ф. С. Фіцджеральда «Великий Гетсбі»	; The master's qualification work is dedicated to the analysis of the theme of the «lost generation» in American literature between the two World Wars, with a focus on the novels of Ernest Hemingway, «Fiesta» and F. Scott Fitzgerald, «The Great Gatsby». The paper conducts a detailed analysis of the literature of the United States during the interwar period, examining social changes, cultural transformations, and the emotional atmosphere of that time. Additionally, it provides a definition of the concept of the «lost generation». In the main part of the paper, an analysis of the key features of the «lost generation» literature is conducted, taking into account both commonalities and differences in the works of Hemingway and Fitzgerald. The concluding section of the paper presents a comparative analysis of the characters in both novels in the context of the «lost generation».
